wait a minute…when did we go back to doing +1 for winning the tiebreaker game? if we do that it’s a huge disadvantage. we’re all playing to get to pick the next week games not to gain an add’l game in the standing. i’m only stating these b/c we talked about this earlier this year and i think early one we didn’t account for +1 for tiebreakers…

This is the way I have been doing tiebreakers all year. If you won the tiebreaker you received an additional game. This was discussed and decided at the beginning of the year.

And of course you only notice it and object to it when I win the tiebreaker. I have been doing this for everyone who wins a tiebreaker ALL YEAR but as soon as I win a tiebreaker it’s like HOL UP! I see how it is Renard! uh huh

I have said this too all the time (beginning of the year), that Tie Breaker is only in existence to decide which person selects the upcoming games since we don’t pick all the games every week. Hence, in a 17 week season you have 102 potential games to win (picking roughly 6 a week, but if someone gets a random point from the tiebreaker scores are skewed.

Also when we do our Vegas scoring one week two people both picked the team that loss, but because one person guessed the total points right they won and received 1 bonus point regardless that they picked the game wrong. How you get a point for picking the game wrong. lol

The only reason it came to my attention is because I saw that you had won 7 games last week. I was like whoa, I thought we changed the rules b/c we had a Twitter discussion about it and I brought it up during the 1st tiebreaker during Week 6. I also made mention I didn’t know how it was done last year, but doing a +1 for a tiebreaker is huge disadvantage to everyone.

We’re making it look like a tiebreaker is a good thing when all we are trying to do is determine who should pick the next week games. In all sports, a tiebreaker or overtime isn’t a +1 in the win column unless we look at hockey who does a point system and adds points for wins/loses in OT. But as I stated before, we should all be judged on # same amount of games. I would say that at the end of the season and there is a tie for games, we could easily determine the weekly winner by seeing who won the most weeks.

This is just a matter of an equal playing field for everyone. Like I said I never noticed it all season until I saw 7 wins for 6 games that we all had a chance to equally pick.

And the tiebreaker didn’t come into play last year until we got tired of you winning every week based off the games you picked lol :-). That’s why we said the winner for the week should pick the game. Picking the games for the next week should be the incentive, not a +1 IMO 🙂
