Beast Of The East Are Back

The NFC Beast!!!!!!

The NFC Beast!!!!!!

I been gone for a minute but I’m back! #NoBodyCaresTho so I will just say a few things and I’m out. As we come to the end of the 2012 regular season it is met with a bittersweet feeling. This one feels a little different with two games left the NFC East is dead locked with three teams at 8-6 (Redskins, Cowboys, Giants). There was a time when you could not argue the NFC East as the toughest division in football. For awhile instead of NFC Beast this division looked more like the NFC Least. The  Beast are back and the world will be watching.

Each team in the east has had their ups and downs this season. The Skins started off slow, the Cowboys have been the Cowboys, and the Giants are consistently inconsistent. Last week the Skins were outside of the playoffs, but now the Skins are on an amazing winning streak which has led them to the top of the division. This Sunday they face some team from Philly (not really sure who they are). The Skins will beat this unknown team as RG3 is predicted to suit up. The is showing no signs of slowing down. Opposing defenses have a lot to think about when planning for this team. I see them at 9-6 going into their week 17 showdown with the Cowboys.

The Dallas Cowboys are also 8-6 heading into Sunday. Cowboys are on a win streak of themselves with their last loss being against the Redskins on Thanksgiving Day. The Cowboys are winning close games they usually find away to lose. Other players are making huge plays taking a load off of Romo. The defense is doing enough to not lose the games. The Cowboys are not a team you would want to face right now if you are desperate for a win. The biggest impact on their recent win streak is Dez Bryant realizing he can’t be stopped. With over 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns (tied for 3rd in the league)  this season he is becoming one of the most dominant in the league. Cowboys week 16 match-up is at home against a Saints team who just put up 41 points. Tough game for the Boys.

The Giants specialize in looking terrible all season then getting hot at the last-minute making a run at the SuperBowl. Unfortunately, this year they may come up a little short as they do not hold their destiny in their own hands. Trailing the aforementioned Redskins and Cowboys they need some help from both of these teams who are showing no signs of slowing down. They have a very tough game this Sunday against a Ravens team who is also desperate for a win.

No matter the circumstances the world will always watch an NFC East game. There is so much hate between all of these fans it makes for great TV. Now with these 3 teams showing bright futures the rest of the NFL should be very afraid. The Beast of the East are back!

Studs and Scrubs Week 1

Well folks it is no longer a myth, a figment of your imagination; football is back, and with that TheManCave06 will entertain you throughout this season. Like any self-respecting man I was thrilled to see football on Sunday. I was awaiting stellar performances, but with every stellar performance there is an equal opportunity for a pathetic one. So “Studs & Scrubs” is back giving you the amazing performances of week 1, and those that were abysmal excuse me, SUCKED!

Studs!

1. Starting off this list is young phenom Julio Jones. The last time we saw the Falcons, they put up an unbelievable amount of points in their playoff game. The grand total of 2 was only a few points shy of a playoff victory. This season the Falcons are looking for that one player to show up big when it counts. History shows us Matt Ryan (he must earn his nickname back) is not that guy. The combination of Julio Jones size and speed doesn’t come along too often in the NFL. This kid has the potential to be great. With 6 catches for 108 yards and 2 TD. Without a doubt Julio has what it takes to be the best in the league. Julio Jones you are an NFL Week 1 Stud!

Swag Me Out!

2. I am going to shoot myself next week for doing this. Clearly I have not learned my lesson yet, but I was impressed with Joe Flacco Monday night. Typically, I would expect Ray Rice to do this thing, and for all of the work by him and that Ravens defense to be ruined by Wacko. Monday night I wrong. Flacco commanded his offense, was poised under pressure, and made some excellent throws. He actually looked like (dare I day this) an NFL QB *clap clap bravo*. Completing 72% of his passes for 299 yards and 2 TD lands Wacko Flacco on Week 1 NFL Studs!

3. “I did not experience any soreness or swelling in my knee” – Adrian Peterson. 2 touchdowns and 84 yards on 17 carries. By far not the numbers we have grown to expect from AP, but after completely tearing your MCL and ACL what should we expect? He is an NFL Stud on the simple fact respect I have for his determination to get back on the field and perform. Of course he is not the first to do this, but much respect given to anyone who goes through a tough injury and fights back to get on the field; starting opening day. Welcome back AP!

Scrubs!

1. Michael “I need to get my weight up” Vick. This was the worse game on my 9 screen ManCave set up in my basement. 4 interceptions from the QB of the team that is picked to win the NFC East? I hope you did not see this game, but I will give you the game summary quickly. Vick gets hit, Vick cries, Vick yells, Vick throws interception (repeat 4 times). What you should take away from this is that football is a man’s game and the Eagles will not win with a punk as their QB. Vick yo are the first NFL Scrub this year. Man up and get your weight up cuh!

Michael

“The replacement refs don’t call penalties either!!!???” – Michael Vick

2. Ryan Ftizpatrick and all things that are the Buffalo Bills. Fitzpatrick why don’t you just go be a lawyer, invent Facebook 2, cure world peace. Do something we expect from a Harvard graduate. Throwing 3 interceptions, making bad reads, and giving an awful performance in week 1 does not cut it. Ryan does not possess what it takes to be a QB in this league. After Sunday it is clear Fitzpatrick does not have the mechanics, or QB skills needed to succeed long term in this league. Buffalo I recommend you begin your search for a franchise QB. 66.5 QB rating won’t cut it.

To the Bills defense you have up 40+ points to a former USC QB, and a team that did not score 1 offensive touchdown in the entire reason.

3. Wait a minute…. Brandon Weeden really only completed 12 passes the entire game? Weeden isn’t a scrub he is who we thought he was. A random old guy in a football uniform. 12 for 35 really son? The Browns Overreacted thinking that it was a good idea to draft this kid. With a QB rating of 5.1 you guy are an NFL Week 1 Scrub!

See yall tomorrow Thursday Night Football!!!!

It doesn't matter that he gets punched in the face numerous times.

I would like to see the Cowboys get rid of Jenkins. Scandrick can play the nickel and maybe we can get rid of him and get Upshaw in the second round. #CowboysNation

So the hype as ended and Calvin “Megatron” Johnson has won the cover of Madden 13. Only time will tell if he can defeat the dreaded Madden Curse. With that being said all eyes are not set on the release of Madden 13. I am expecting a much better Madden gameplay experience than the previous Madden. Here is a few updates that will be coming in the newest edition of Madden 13. The passing game has completely been redesigned. CLICK TO READ UP ON THE PASSING GAME!

This might make me the most dangerous Madden player ever.

Megatron vs. Madden Curse

#TheMaddenCurse vs. Cam Newton

As you know football season is near, and one of the most anticipated events will be the release of Madden 13. Who will be on the cover? Will the curse be broken? If you don’t know about the Madden Curse. To make it simple here are a few names who have appeared on the cover. Daunte Culpepper, Michael Vick, Eddie George, Troy Polamalu, Brett Favre, Shaun Alexander, Peyton Hillis, Larry Fitzgerald, and others. All of these players suffered injuries the year they appeared on the cover, and Vick went to jail! lol. So why would anyone want to be on the Madden Cover and face the dreadful #MaddenCurse?

Sportsnation put this decision in the hands of us; the fans. In a tournament style of voting that had many players who had great seasons. I voted for Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, and Victor Cruz. I am a Dallas Cowboys fans so that will explain my vote. The final battle is here and it is between Cam Newton and Calvin Johnson. Can either of these two defeat the curse? Place Your Vote.

So your boy Cam Newton who has more nicknames than I have years on earth released a video giving his rant on why he should be on the cover. Check out the video to see his reasoning and all of his nicknames which I will not list, but I will tell you my favorite one; “Mr. SwagMan”. Sit back and enjoy some Friday laughter.

Gamers you can also challenge your boy *insert your favorite Newton nickhame* by sending your full name, phone number, and gamertag to playcam@cam1newton.com. He is on both Xbox and PS3. Cam xbox gamertag “CamdaGreatx2” and PS3 “theAceboo1e”. I will be sending my info especially since he stole my name lol.

Since I did not put this out earlier, it will seem as if my football knowledge is not as massive, but anyone who knows me I have said the Cowboys needed to solidify 3 key areas to build a solid team. Those areas would be first and foremost the secondary, second more depth at LB, and finally offensive line. So far this off-season after suffering a #GoodellReasons *expletive deleted* cap hit, we have made very promising moves so far.

The biggest news in Dallas is we have finally cut Terrence Newman. This move alone has this one of the greatest off seasons in Cowboys franchise history. The recent acquisition of former Kansas City Chief Brandon Carrmakes a sub par secondary much better than it was two weeks ago. Brandon Carr is a solid coverage corner, and is tops in the league recently in pass deflections. No one is happier than Defensive Coordinator Rob Ryan, as he finally as a solid DB he can rely on to help with his defensive scheme.

Terrence Newman wouldn't have even been in the photo

Second, we have added from the Carolina Panthers ILB Dan Connor. We all know Penn St. makes the best linebackers lol #SeeWhatIDidThere. Another addition to help Rob Ryan with that 3-4 scheme. I would love for this pickup to eliminate all things that are wrong with Keith Brooking especially his awful pre-game hype speeches. Connor is a solid pickup that will hand depth, and youth to the interior of this 3-4 scheme. Connor and Lee have the potential to be a serious problem in the run game for opposing offenses.

Thirdly, protect Tony Romo! We got the young sensation in Tyron Smith playing RT, who I would like to move to LT and move Doug “All I do is allow” Free rushers to play on the RT spot. If we successfully add  Nate Livings along with already added interior lineman Mackenzy Bernadeau our offensive line is looking deep. Tony, Felix, and DeMarco are smiling right now. With these additions, I think our line can keep Tony and our backfield weapons healthy this season.

Lastly, but certainly not least Brodney Pool from the Jets (Good clean hit right there). Even us die hard Cowboys fans cannot remember the last time we had a safety worth mentioning. I believe it was Darren Woodson lol. However, Brodney Pool changes the whole game by coming to Dallas. He is an all around solid safety which is what we need, and have been needed. I really like him and Abram Elam back there. We are giving Rob Ryan what he was missing. The actual secondary weapons to make his excellent 3-4 scheme work.

I thought we stopped wearing our pads like this!? lol

Kudos on a good opening week in Free Agency. I will be back to tell you who and what we need in the draft to finishing fixing the Cowboys. For free agency so far, we are doing very well.

P.S. Goodell You are the worse!

LBJ

These Jerseys are Poop

It is clear that our game of the week for this week had to be none other than Knicks vs Heat. The game had all of the hype of a playoff game. Linsanity has been on a role, and this is the year Miami must win it all or they will be eternally slandered. Would the Heat stop Linsanity and the Knicks or would the Knicks put a halt to the Heat current winning streak?

Well, the game has concluded, and the Heat came away with another impressive double digit win defeating the Knicks 102-88. Probably the most impressive part of this game was the Heat team defense, and the Heat Big 3 dominating the game. Lin was held to under 10 points total while Bron, Wade, and Bosh all had at least 20 points. Not to mention LBJ was 2 ast and 1 reb from a tripe double.

What we have learned from this game is simply what we all knew once the Dallas Mavericks won the title last year. The Miami Heat will be best team in the NBA this year, and they will hold up the trophy at the end of the season. As my fellow mancaver dontbeskerrit stated prepare yourselves for the inevitable. LBJ gets himself a ring. Kind of anti-climatic, but hey its the NBA.

So prepare yourselves this weekend. Sit back open a couple of beers and enjoy the weekend of “no defense”. Otherwise known as 2012 All Star Weekend in Orlando. The only defense that will be going on this weekend will be the groupies blocking each other to be first in line for the after parties in Orlando. From TheManCave06 enjoy your weekend, and we hope you enjoyed this weeks Game Of The Week.
